Primary/Caucus Info — Idaho
The Republican Primary will remain closed and only voters affiliated with that party will be allowed to vote the Republican Ballot. All voters may affiliate with any party on election day or change their affiliation.
The Democratic Party will open their caucus to voters affiliated with any political party and unaffiliated voters. Caucus locations are not the same as polling locations and may be identified through the Democratic party's website.
What's on the ballot?
Some congressional seats, state offices and constitutional amendments may be included on the ballot.

What forms of ID are acceptable?
- Idaho driver’s license or Idaho identification card
- US passport or federal identification card, including photograph
- Tribal identification card, including photograph
- A current student photo identification card, issued by a high school or post secondary education institution located within Idaho
If a voter is not able to show an acceptable ID, the voter will be given the option to sign the Personal Identification Affidavit. On the Affidavit, the voter swears to his/her identity under penalty of perjury, a felony under 34-1114, Idaho Code. After signing the Affidavit, the voter will be issued a ballot to be tabulated with all other ballots.See ID Requirements for All States
Early & Absentee Voting — IdahoRequest an Absentee Ballot
Early Voting Dates: Oct. 24th to Nov. 4th
Some counties provide in-person early voting at select locations from Oct. 24th to Nov. 4th. Hours and locations are set by the county clerks office and can be found here. No excuse required.
To vote absentee by mail, first you’ll need to apply for an absentee ballot (click here) no later than Nov. 2nd. Then, when you complete your absentee ballot, it must be postmarked by the day before the election.
Counties that do not participate in early voting will allow in-person voting by absentee ballot at county clerk's office as soon as absentee ballots are available until Nov. 4th.
